The Professor

Ah, yes ... The Professor and our Colorado Springs Professor Trainee. It appears that Professor Trainee is doing well ... he has the 'hand on the cheek thinking thing' going on, just like The Professor.

Rockstar Recruiter

Rockstar Recruiter hustles up new talent for us ... did I say 'hustle'? I meant rustle! Oh, yeah, she goes to any length to find us the absolute right people for our Organization. Additionally, she oversees the Management Training program in our Tallahassee and Gainesville locations.

Strategy Guy

Strategy Guy explores new business ventures and possible new locations for us; he scouted the following locations at the end of 2007, early 2008 ... Orlando, Tampa, Sarasota, Miami, Baton Rouge, and Columbia, SC. As you all know, the best decision after considering all factors, was Columbia, SC. Business has been good there so far. We have a manager in training at the location who is getting the job done.

There were others of you who scouted new locations for us too ... more about those key players in future updates.
Another reason why Strategy Guy is considered a key player is his uncanny ability to 'break the tension' with humor. Learning Leader particularly appreciates this.

Birthday month

So ... October happens to be birthday month at the Heather Run All Inclusive ... we celebrated both Strategy Guy's and ielson's on Thursday night at Carrabba's ... this was in lieu of our regularly scheduled Friday meeting as some of the key managers were heading to our Gainesville and Colorado Springs locations. It was great to have our managers from both our Villa Medici and South Carolina sites here. (See photo above)

One of our meeting managers has aptly noted that there are a variety of 'special meaning' phrases that are used quite regularly among this group ... such phrases as 'the staring phase' which is what happens at the table after everyone finishes eating but is not ready to leave the table ... and 'ron burgandy' which happens to be the name of our leather couch.

A new phrase was coined at the birthday gathering when Strategy Guy was regaling us with a story about how he found a lizard in his pants one day this week. Don't ask. Actually, on second thought, do.
